This level of certification establishes the competencies required for hands-on design, integration and support of Adaptive Edge security solution for complex, enterprise networks. Given a set of customer business requirements, a Master Accredited System Engineer is expected to perform consultative planning, architecting and leading the deployment of secure ProCurve security solutions. This may include products and components from other vendors as necessary to solve business needs. Key focus is on understanding the security impacts of applications and network services.

This certification ensures that the technical integration professional is able to protect the network using network access control and threat management solutions, including Microsoft NAP.

Anyone who architects and manages the deployment of complex solutions based on ProCurve technologies including: ProCurve Networking Reseller and Service Authorized Partners, System Integration and Consulting Partners, Customer IT Staff, HP Field Presales and Competency Center Solution Architects, HP Consulting and Integration Services.

The candidate must hold two prerequisite certifications and pass one core requirement exam

The candidate must hold at least one of the following certifications:
  ASE – HP ProCurve Mobility [2010] -or-
  ASE – HP ProCurve Networking & Mobility [2009] -or-
  ASE – ProCurve Networking & Mobility [2008] (inactive) -or-
  ASE – ProCurve Networking & WAN Technologies [2008] -or-
  ASE – ProCurve Network Management [2008] -or-
  ASE – ProCurve Networking & Mobility [2006] (inactive) -or-
  ASE – ProCurve Networking & WAN Technologies [2006] (inactive) -or-

Prerequisite 2: 
The candidate must hold at least one of the following certifications:
  Microsoft – MCTS, Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration -or-
  Microsoft – MCITP, Enterprise Administrator  -or-
  Microsoft – MCITP, Server Administrator

Master ASE – HP ProCurve Security [2010] supersedes Master ASE – ProCurve Networking Security Specialist [2008], which cannot be acquired after 30 September 2010.
